(Please read carefully before enrolling.)
1. Withdrawals & Refunds
- Once paid, course fees are non-refundable.
- Any cancellation request must be made in writing to support@primimproper.co.nz
- Refunds may be issued only where required under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (e.g., if a service is not delivered with reasonable care and skill or does not match what was advertised).
- If a refund is approved under the CGA, it will be processed on the 20th of the following month.
- Change of mind or change of circumstances is not covered by the CGA.
- If a cancellation request is declined and you choose not to complete the module, all fees are forfeited, and you must re-enrol at full price.
2. Attendance & Study Period
You have 12 months from the date of enrolment (your Study Period) to complete all lessons, assessments and portfolio submissions associated with this course.
3. Assessments
- Theory Assessments are
assessments are completed online through the Monaco learning platform (for The Theory of Nails and IBX).
- The pass mark for all assessments is 80%, with no exceptions.
- Practical assessments are supervised by a Gold-Level MATP (not Caiti).
4. Certificates
- Upon successful completion of each module, you will receive a module sticker for your official Monaco Introduction to Nail Technology Certificate.
- You may also purchase a Module-specific certificate for $15.
- Gold stickers are awarded for exam scores of 95%+.
5. Expectations & Conduct
- You will have access to the Novice/Grads Facebook Group and group chats while you are an active student or graduate. If you withdraw or do not complete your qualification, your access will be removed.
- All course content (videos, workbooks, lessons, images, etc.) remains the intellectual property of Monaco Nail Academy and may not be copied, shared, recorded, redistributed, or used for teaching purposes.
- All dates, times, and prices are in NZT/NZD.
- You must join the Novice/Grads Facebook Group and Group Chat associated with your module - this is the primary method of communication.
- If you do not have Facebook, you will need to create an account for training purposes.
- Lesson Guides are available inside your online module. You will be granted access to the Monaco learning platform within 2 working days of your enrolment.
- Your support contact is Caiti - email caiti@primimproper.co.nz, DM on Instagram/Facebook, or text/call her on 022 095 0724.
- Please do not message Monaco staff directly.
- By enrolling, you agree to be added to the Monaco Nail Academy Mailing List for updates relevant to your training.
6. Student Responsibilities
Students are responsible for:
- Managing their own time and Study Period
- Sourcing appropriate models where required for practical modules
- Meeting assessment and lesson deadlines
- Completing prerequisite theory before practical work
- Participating respectfully in all community spaces
- Having the required tools/materials for each module
- Communicating proactively if support is needed
Prim Improper Ltd and Monaco Nail Academy reserve the right to terminate enrolment without refund if a student breaches these Terms, engages in abusive/disruptive behaviour, or does not maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
7. Technology Requirements
Students must have:
- Reliable internet access
- A device capable of viewing online lessons and submitting coursework
- Basic digital literacy to access/submit work
Prim Improper Ltd and Monaco Nail Academy are not responsible for technical issues arising from personal devices or connectivity.
By enrolling, you consent to Prim Improper Ltd and Monaco Nail Academy storing and using your personal information for course administration, support, and communication.
We will never sell your data.
8. Accessibility & Support
If you require learning support or adjustments due to disability, neurodiversity, or personal circumstances, contact support@primimproper.co.nz as early as possible.
While assessment standards cannot be altered, we will work with you wherever reasonably possible to support your success.
9. Schedule Changes & Course Adjustments
Monaco Nail Academy may adjust lesson dates, educators, course content, or product suppliers where necessary to maintain quality training.
Students will be notified of significant changes and provided alternatives when possible.
10. Ongoing Terms
These Terms apply to this course and all future courses you enrol in through Prim Improper Ltd.
If Terms are updated in the future, you may be required to accept them when enrolling into additional courses.
Requirements to complete your qualification will not change.
11. Course Kits & Products
The Introduction to Nail Technology qualification does not include any required tools, kits, or products for the practical components of each module. Students are responsible for purchasing or sourcing the items listed in each module’s requirements.
Enrolments made during the Black Friday promotion include a complimentary Prim Improper Starter Kit (Foil Gel, Nail Foil, Nail Transfer Tattoos). This kit is a bonus gift and is not a replacement for the tools and products needed throughout the course.
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they have access to all items required to complete practical lessons, assessments, and portfolio tasks.
