While assessment standards cannot be altered, we will work with you wherever reasonably possible to support your success.
Monaco Nail Academy may adjust lesson dates, educators, course content, or product suppliers where necessary to maintain quality training.
Students will be notified of significant changes and provided alternatives when possible.
These Terms apply to this course and all future courses you enrol in through Prim Improper Ltd.
If Terms are updated in the future, you may be required to accept them when enrolling into additional courses.
Requirements to complete your qualification will not change.
The Introduction to Nail Technology qualification does not include any required tools, kits, or products for the practical components of each module. Students are responsible for purchasing or sourcing the items listed in each module’s requirements.
Enrolments made during the Black Friday promotion include a complimentary Prim Improper Starter Kit (Foil Gel, Nail Foil, Nail Transfer Tattoos). This kit is a bonus gift and is not a replacement for the tools and products needed throughout the course.
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they have access to all items required to complete practical lessons, assessments, and portfolio tasks.

With around 130 hours of video lessons, plus supporting workbook texts - and of course, practical practice - it's up to you whether you binge it or spread it out. To complete the entire qualification in 12 months, you're looking at about 3 hours of study + 2 hours of practice per week.

A Gold MATP will oversee your practical exams via Zoom, while I work toward my next accreditation level - but you’ll still have me in your corner whenever you need help, clarity, or encouragement.

Each module has its own list of tools and products required for practice and exams, and you can build your supplies as you go. No giant expensive kit required upfront - the course won’t throw you in the deep end.
You don't need anything to get started on the very first module, The Theory of Nails, apart from your device and an internet connection.
You can order the products you need for each module directly from Monaco, or you can create your own kit with a brand(s) of your choice. Just keep in mind that all lessons and assessments need to be completed using pro-only products (i.e. products that require proof of qualification/training to purchase - not available to the general public).

Not at all. This module was designed to be beginner-friendly. You don’t need any prior experience - just an interest in nails and a willingness to learn. We’ll start with the basics and build from there.
The entire course is 100% online and designed for real people with real life schedules.
You’ll get:

You’re never doing this alone.
But if you still feel like you need extra support, you can:
• Join a fortnightly group Zoom lesson with a Gold Monaco Mentor (6-9pm Monday or Tuesday) which costs $49/3hr session
• Book a one-on-one Zoom mentor session for $49/hour
• Book an in-person lesson with a Monaco Mentor in your area (pricing will vary). I can organise this for you - just say the word!
I’ll be your support person throughout the course, but your practical exams are supervised by a Gold MATP (someone authorised to assess at that level).
I’ll still help you prepare, answer questions, and cheer for you the whole way!

To give you an idea of the time commitment involved, you'll need to do about 3 hours of study + 2 hours of practice each week to complete the course within a year.

Once access has been granted, course fees are non-refundable - so please make sure you’re genuinely ready before you enrol.
If a refund is required under the Consumer Guarantees Act (e.g. if the service isn’t delivered with reasonable care and skill), it will be processed on the 20th of the following month.
But if you simply change your mind or your circumstances change, refunds aren’t available - so enrol when it feels right for you.
